​​​​​​​This studio scale replica protrays the T.I.E. Fighter that slams into an asteroid in The Empire Strikes Back, with a fun asteroid accessory! The ESB T.I.E.s differ from the originally constructed models from the first show, primarily in the wing perimeter construction with additional "C" channel. I used real (vintage) Kool Shade, crumpling the damaged sections (as well as the wing stars and perimeter Plastruct) as closely as possible to match the reference materials. I added a little extra detail to imply a more "real look" to the wing construction, and made a truncated blue pylon alternate display base. The asteroid was sculpted from photos of a few surviving ILM-made examples.
